- Ron McClure (b. 1941) was born in New Haven, CT. He learned to play bass in high school and had a successful professional career. He studied composition and arranging with Hall Overton in the mid-1960s. In this oral history, McClure talks about his development as a musician and his life as a jazz musician in New York City. McClure goes into detail about his interactions with Hall Overton, his memories of the Jazz Loft building, and his work as a musician with Blood, Sweat & Tears.
