Class 4 coupons were designated as 5 gallons per unit. Unit value could vary depending on supply. Used for purposes other than space and water heating. Sheet of perforated coupons. Space for the name of the holder and issuing board and date is on the center vertical. To the right of the vertical, the numbers on the face of the coupon indicated the number of units, zone number and the period in which the coupon was to be used. Coupons on the left of the center vertical and the bottom row on the right, had the face value of 1, 5 or 10 gallons and were used for making change. Printed in black ink. Background paper contains stylized Great Seal and the phrase "U.S. Government Ration" in blue ink.
