Woodcut male and female figures on separate sheets; each figure is seated and is accompanied by letterpress text in two columns to the right and left; according to Choulant the figures originally had 7 flaps.
Woodcut initial on each sheet.
Hand colored.
The figures resemble those printed on other fugitive sheets by Silvester van Parijs, dated 1540-1550 by Carlino. Cf. Carlino, A. Paper Bodies, Cat. 17-19.
