Binding: Modern binding in red-brown goatskin over wooden boards with two fore edge thong clasps of same material. Prior to re-binding in 1968, bound in goatskin over wooden boards; covers have blind stamped borders and simple ruled diamond-shaped designs, now much wormed, the remains of brass bosses and clasps; stored in a brown cloth folding case.
Format: Manuscript codex.
Title supplied by cataloger.
Layout: Written in 1 column of 19-27 lines.
Script: The text was written by multiple scribes. Scribe I (fol. 1r-63v, 65r-75r) was responsible for the liturgies, with a flowing hand, leaning very slightly to the right; Scribe II (fol. 63v-65r, 75r) was a corrector for the liturgies, with a very squarish hand; Scribe III (fol. 75v-93v, 95r-112r) was responsible for various services, with a vertical, almost squarish hand; Scribe IV (fol. 112v-124r) continues with various services, with a short script, leaning slightly to the right; Scribe V (fol. 94r-94v, 124v-251v) continues the services to the end, with a script leaning slightly to the right, with some characters frequently leaning toward the left. Scribe V is most likely Andreas of Brindisi. Despite distinct differences between the hands, several similar characteristics appear among them, suggesting the style of a particular scribal school.
Decoration: Text decorated in red and black. Running foliate penwork with foliate initials in brown, accented with red, preceding many headings. Rectangular ornamental headpiece (27 x 93 mm) of flaked strong reddish orange, dark olive, and brownish black strapwork, with foliate designs extending from each corner and the top, along with dragon's heads extending from the top two corners. Ornamentation of circle outlined in red containing 6 smaller circles around a central circle, each containing a symbol or letter.
Origin: South Italy.
Two leaves from another manuscript were found inserted before the final leaf. They have been removed and numbered Greek MS 20.
