somebody needs some wisdom to have expressed (mumbling). | 32:15
This age we are passing, in which we are caught, | 32:23
needs a flavor that makes life worth living. | 32:29
On every hand, there are problems of every type. | 32:33
From one hour to the other, we don't know what | 32:38

We've learned to spend our times as in fleeting moments, | 32:45

It was written by somebody who had to be given | 33:10
the gift of wisdom, and by that gift, made a wise man. | 33:14
But who is a wise man in age such as this? | 33:21
The wise man is he who is prodigious through and through. | 33:26
Always guided by the grace of God. | 33:33
The wise man does not stand with arms spread positivity. | 33:38
He avoids loose women like a plague. | 33:43

He speaks only when he needs to speak. | 34:10
And then, when there's no need to speak, | 34:14
he keeps his mouth shut. | 34:16
The wise man speaks with care | 34:19
and prudence and thoughtfulness. | 34:22
He does not trouble himself in the affairs of others. | 34:25
He knows that silver tongues | 34:28
and fools do not need his company. | 34:31
And when trouble comes, he's got his bearings, | 34:35
for he is aware that God is righteous and will bring good | 34:39
out of evil and even sorrow. | 34:44
The wise man knows no matter what problems come his way, | 34:47
there's a God somewhere, who though he sits high, | 34:51
deals in low matters. | 34:55
And makes life perfect. | 34:59
We have not learned now what life has offered | 35:02
and we ought to know that that is our source of life. | 35:05
And the source of life ought to be lived | 35:10
and understood and appreciated in all seasons. | 35:13
We need a God in all the seasons of our lives. | 35:19
For life is a four-part movement. | 35:26
Gives us a stream of possibilities. | 35:30
Dreams and hopes are born in the stream. | 35:35
Then comes the summer when those dreams are realized, | 35:39
and all people (mumbling) to fruition. | 35:44
And before the summer then fully leaves, | 35:49
the fall comes and dreams seem deferred, hope tossed, | 35:52
and why must the fall whip us so then? | 35:56
And we hear those fitting words we bring our years | 36:00
to an end as a tale that is done. | 36:05
The tragedy of all this is that too many folk wait | 36:10
for the fall in their lives to call on the Lord. | 36:14
They waste their spring and their summers, | 36:18
and then they call on God in the fall, hoping he'll be there | 36:21
in winter time. | 36:25 | |
What I recommend is nigh with God for all seasons. | 36:28
First, there is the spring of promises, | 36:32
and all types of possibilities. | 36:37
The lights beam so perfect, so full of promise | 36:40
in the spring. | 36:46 | |
Then we are almost tempted to put God off to a later time. | 36:47
Everything seemed in order in spring. | 36:54
We're young and strong. | 36:58
We can run as fast as we wish. | 37:02
Eat whatever we want, go wherever we please, | 37:05
do what our lives call for. | 37:09
Abuse our bodies more, but they'll be replenished | 37:12
because they're young in the spring of our lives. | 37:16
At this time of life, life's a juicy plum, | 37:20
a ripe tree peach, a ready apple and a luscious pear. | 37:25
Look at what we have going for ourselves. | 37:31
We've got our parents who buy for us. | 37:34
They know more than we know what we need. | 37:37
And they give us more than we need, even what we want. | 37:41
And no matter what we do, how silly we are, | 37:45

oh, isn't he so cute, isn't she so precious. | 37:53
(laughing) | 37:56 | |
That's the spring of life. | 37:59
Therefore who needs God at a time like this? | 38:02
Food, shelter, clothes, a (mumbling), | 38:07
things all around, playground outside, | 38:13
school in back of our head. | 38:17
Who needs God in the spring of life? | 38:19
I'll tell ya who needs God in the spring of life. | 38:25
We all do. | 38:29 | |
We need a friend who (mumbling), | 38:31
who is closer than a brother. | 38:35
A friend who knows more about us | 38:39
than we know about ourselves. | 38:42
We need somebody while we're young! | 38:44
But we'll have him when we get older. | 38:48
We need somebody called God in the spring of our lives. | 38:54
But then comes the summer, when dreams are fulfilled | 39:00
and all seems doubly better. | 39:06
So many lives seem to be left upon a silver platter. | 39:11
All they dreamed of becomes reality. | 39:15
Look at how we are in summer time. | 39:20
Ever notice that most of us get married in the summer time? | 39:23
Look at what happens to people in summer. | 39:27
They marry the right mate, or they hope so anyway. | 39:30
Our best to plan number of children, live in your father's | 39:35

in society, all seems that it's time in summer time. | 39:53
Who in the world needs God in the summer time? | 39:58
Well, the truth is, we all need God in the summer. | 40:04
We need to learn early in life to praise God | 40:12
from whom all blessings. | 40:16
Unfortunately, we are fooled in our youth and our policies | 40:19
in our summer years, and we think that if God (mumbling) | 40:23
'cause we'll never get cold. | 40:28
But the wise man says to us, | 40:31
"In all they ways acknowledge him." | 40:35
This means when all is going well, when you have everything | 40:40
you want, when you find your friends in your life, | 40:45
still take time to acknowledge God. | 40:48
When life is treating you well, remember God. | 40:55
When all is going your way, remember God. | 40:59
When you have more than you need, remember God! | 41:03
When nothing seems to be going wrong, remember God. | 41:07
In all of thy ways acknowledge him | 41:12
because third come the fall of life, | 41:18
when dreams being deferred comes, | 41:22
disappointments dance on your tread, | 41:25
and your hopes seemed crushed. | 41:29
Just when life is about ready to be fully lived, | 41:33
you've worked 30 years on the job, got the gold watch | 41:38
or the gold necklace, then you testify at the trials, | 41:42
and you suddenly wanna travel and see all I could not see | 41:48
while I worked, you discover that oh, there's more | 41:52
to work on. | 41:57 | |
You've educated your children, paid that last note | 41:59
on that house, retired from the job, you think you got | 42:03
good health, got everything in the right places, | 42:09
and suddenly discover that arthritis and bursitis | 42:13
and uritis will blow your dress. | 42:18
(laughing) | 42:20 | |
And somehow it is at this time that God is more important. | 42:25
It is so sad to see how folk come run to God | 42:31
and get holy in the fall of our lives. | 42:36
They have not everything they could do in the spring | 42:39
and summer, and now God has come to get mad | 42:42
with the youngsters because they're holy now. | 42:46
(congregation responding) | 42:51
But don't you know, if you apply the first part | 42:54
of this suggestion, in all thy ways acknowledge him, | 42:58
it's a step to the second part, | 43:04
and he shall direct thy path. | 43:07
And when God directs your paths, | 43:11
you will live rightly and righteously! | 43:13
In order to be led the right way, you've got him | 43:16
in the spring and the summer. | 43:20
We'll not wait for the fall to set our house in order. | 43:24
You're nothing for the fall to turn to God. | 43:29
The truth of the matter is we might not make it | 43:32
to the fall. | 43:35 | |
Some men are cut down in the summer and spring, | 43:36
we need God in all our seasons! | 43:39
All spring and summer long, some will play games, | 43:45
done everything they big enough to do, | 43:51
and then the fall comes, they wanna know where is God. | 43:54
In all thy ways, in summer and spring, acknowledge him, | 43:57
and when fall comes, he will direct thy paths. | 44:05
But when fall has ended, then comes winter, our final days. | 44:11

And yet, so many wait even through fall to (mumbling) | 44:27
