In the wake of a death in the Duke Chapel community, this sermon looks to two apocalyptic visions of the future, in Malachi and John, and finds in them promises that God will rage against the suffering of the world while ultimately promising to end it forever; the sermon calls the community to trust in God's promises and hold to the future we have seen in Jesus' death and resurrection.
