- Title:
- William R. Cannon - Sermon Untitled (November 29, 1981)
- Description:
-
Sermon start time: (Part 1) 41:07. Sermon end time: (Part 2) 14:38.
The preacher draws connections between the societal ‘sicknesses’ in Isaiah’s time and those of America’s world today; just as the coming of Messiah provided hope to Israel in those circumstances, so we can have Advent hope. While hearers place their hope in God’s Father-like care, they are also urged to take responsibility themselves for making change in the world by becoming zealous for the things of God and living exemplary lives of justice and compassion.
