About the Digital Collection
Collection contains a letter requesting money to dispense for a charitable purpose in Boston. The remaining material is Channing's sermon notes. One of the sermons, titled "The Aims of Life," criticizes wealthy slaveholders who occupy the best pews in church, whereas their slaves are much more in need of the Gospel.
Some materials and descriptions may include offensive content. More info
