Fellow citizens of De Kalb County

Single-page circular issued by R. D. Allison to the voters of Dekalb County, concerning the Tennessee legislature's election on whether to hold a convention to determine secession from the Union: "I have been solicited by my friends of all parties to become a candidate for the convention from Dekalb County, and believing that it is the duty of every man, who loves the union to lend his aid in whatever way his friends may require to preserve it, I have consented [sic] to be a candidate, And am for preserving the union of these States."
