  • In the absence of king Ferdinand VII and the Regency Council, the Cadiz Parliament decrees that, in light of their courage defending the motherland, veterans of Zaragoza, Gerona, Ciudad Rodrigo and Astorga should be given priority when applying to academic, ecclesiastical, military and political posts. This is a copy written in Lima of the original decree issued in Cadiz on August 22, 1811.
