Resolutions adopted by eight thousand voters at the great White Men's Convention in Goldsboro, N.C., October 28.

White supremacist, anti-Republican, pro-Democratic broadside about the events of the 1898 White Men's Convention in Goldsboro, stating that where Negroes have dominated in local eastern North Carolina politics "...bad government has followed; homes have been invaded, and the sanctity of women endangered." Among the eight resolutions adopted at the convention was a statement denouncing Senator Pritchard and Governor Russell for "...calling upon the President to send troops into this state to aid them in maintaining Negro domination..." and that the white men of the state had not become "insurrectionary citizens". Present at the meeting which adopted the resolutions were Maj. Wm. A. Guthrie of the Peoples Party (Populists), Thomas J. Jarvis, Walter H. Neal, W. E. Fountain, Don Gilliam, and Edward W. Pou.
