4-page program for Baltimore "Grand Matinee" performance of German pianist Hans von Bulow, at the Academy of Music in Baltimore, Saturday, Dec. 11th, 1875. The program begins with J.S. Bach, L. van Beethoven, "La separazione" by G. Rossini, sung by Lizzie Cronyn. The second part of the program includes works by F. Mendelssohn, F. Schubert, Gordigiani, Rubinstein and F. Liszt. The illustration is flanked by images of Beethoven and Richard Wagner (?) Page 2 consists of advertising; page 3 includes an extract of an article from Scribner's Monthly entitled "Recollections of Liszt and Von Bulow". Page 4 oddly juxtaposes advertisements for piano sales with an ad for Mme. Julian in New York, who will treat "ladies afflicted with superfluous hair ..." and promises to remove "the disfigurement radically and permanently."
