Also includes passages quoted from the Cheyenne Daily Leader and the Laramie City Daily Sentinel. The latter asserts that women..."being more helpless, more dependent, and more in need of the protection of good laws and good government than are men, they naturally use the power put into their hands to secure these results." Other witnesses include N. L. Andrews, Speaker of the House of Repesentatives (D-Wyoming) and Rev. Dr. Crary, presiding elder of the M. E. Church of Northern Colorado and Wyoming, who states that, contrary to the statement that "no women voted except those of the baser sort", he observed that "the very best ladies of this Territory vote..."
