- Title:
- Stato laico nell'Italia cattolica?
- Alternative Title:
- Secular state in Catholic Italy?
- Date:
- 1947 to 1948
- Description:
-
Leaflet defending Catholicism as the religion of the Italian State. Several examples are given of how it would be to live with the Catholic religion as the official religion or to live in a Secular State. This refers to the fact that the Constitution of the Italian Republic of December 1947, in its article 1, stated that the Congress could not establish an official religion. This was against the Lateran Treaty, that recognized the principle established in the first Article of the Italian Constitution dated March 4, 1848, according to which the Catholic Apostolic Roman religion is the only State religion.
