Letter of Archibald Fraser of Lovat, (1736–1815) colonel 1st Inverness local militia, informing of the holding of a meeting of the Committee of the Shire of Inverness, and attaching the minutes of such meeting. Some of the topic discussed in the meeting were: abuses at some of the Post Offices to the North of Aberdeen, delays in forwarding the mail between Aberdeen and Tain, and the establishment of a mail coach between Perth and Inverness. The meeting was held on October 11, being the Chairman Archibald Fraser of Lovat.
