Deed of manumission freeing "Edmund (otherwise Benjamin), the son of Page, a mulatto woman, formerly the property of Peter Marks, deceased...now the age of four years". The document states that 2 copies were produced, 1 to be filed with the Albemarle County Court and the other given to Edmund "to be produced when & where it may be necessary." The deed was signed by Robert Jouett.
