Howe, discussing the desirability of reserving a portion of church auditoriums for Negro worshipers, and several letters from female correspondents. Also, some executive correspondence of Robert Withers Allston (1801-1864), including three letters relative to an engineering project in progress on the Savannah River in 1858.
