Latin American Public Opinion Project

The Latin American Public Opinion Project produces surveys for the analysis of public perceptions on the role of government, political tolerance, citizen participation and corruption, among other issues. The data files and questionnaires are provided as zipped files, one per country and year combination. When available, data files are provided in SPSS (.sav) and Stata (.dat) format. Questionnaires are in PDF or Word Document (.doc) format.

Latin American Public Opinion Project

The Latin American Public Opinion Project produces surveys for the analysis of public perceptions on the role of government, political tolerance, citizen participation and corruption, among other issues. Questionnaires and technical papers describing the LAPOP collections are available through the survey links. LAPOP's research efforts to date have produced over 60 surveys analyzing major topics of great interest to political and social scientists, Latin Americanists, government officials, and interested citizens. LAPOP surveys analyzing citizen views on system support, citizen participation, local government, and views on authoritarianism: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, The Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, the United States, and Venezuela.
