Two letters. The first one is a copy of a letter from Colonel the Hon. Archibald Campbell Fraser of Lovat, (1736–1815), British consul at Tripoli and Algiers, and later colonel of the 1st Inverness local militia, to the Convener and Sheriff-Depute of the County of Inverness, Simon Fraser (1738-1813), proposing a gathering of the dignitaries and nobility of Inverness-Shire to celebrate on October 25th, the fiftieth year of His Majesty's reign (George III, King from 1760 to 1820). The second one, is the reply agreeing to the idea contained in the first letter. Includes text with the summary of the activities that took place on the jubilee.
