The application of information and library science to NESCent's activites, including (a) collaborating in NESCent's assessment program, particularly scientometric studies of research outputs; (b) informing support for the preservation, discovery and reuse of NESCent research outputs; (c) contributing to the design and evaluation of informatics support solutions for sponsored science; (d) providing research and training opportunities for information and library science students; (e) consulting for existing and developing metadata standards of relevance to evolutionary informatics.
