- When September 11th happened and the people first started arriving on gurneys and in orange jumpsuits to Guantanamo Bay, I was still a college student. And so when I sit there across from my clients at Guantanamo now, I think to myself how I had time to live a whole life, really. To finish university, go to law school, finish my legal training, find a job, become an attorney, and go and represent them for several years now. And in all that time, they've just been there. They've been there.
