- Babies are different from big people and they need special care. That's why almost all baby food comes in glass. Glass is pure. It doesn't affect taste. It shows what's left of the carrots. And if there are any left, you can recap and refrigerate them. What's good for babies is good for people. That's why soft drinks and other good things come in bottles. But now a totally different advantage of glass has become important. Glass can be recycled. When this bottle or that jar is empty, it can be returned to a glass container plant, ground up and melded to make new glass bottles. So we're conserving natural resources and solving solid waste problems. And that means we'll be making this country a little nicer for a little girl to grow up in.
